General Description
HA Peptide (HA tag) is a peptide composed of 9 amino acids derived from human influenza hemagglutinin (HA). It is widely used in cell biology and biochemistry for isolation, purification, detection, and tracking of target proteins.
HA peptide is a highly immunoreactive tag commonly used to isolate marker proteins from cell culture supernatants and cell lysates under neutral pH conditions, making it a convenient tool for immunoprecipitation, but it can also be easily detected by Western blotting.
HA Peptide is Small
HA peptides are unlikely to interfere with the biological activity and function of fusion proteins. The HA peptide is derived from human influenza hemagglutinin (HA) corresponding to amino acids 98-106 and is a highly immunoreactive epitope, making it easy to isolate, purify, detect, and track the target protein.
HA Peptide Separation
Recombinant HA labeled proteins can be separated by highly specific anti HA monoclonal antibodies covalently immobilized on the resin. HA labeled proteins can be eluted by mild elution methods, where the HA epitope is 1mg/mL in TBS.
The research results indicate that HA peptide is cleaved by cysteine protease 3/7, and HA peptide cleavage leads to complete loss of immune reactivity. The observation results indicate that using HA labeled proteins and constructs to study cell death related and apoptotic mechanisms may lead to serious artifacts.
