TATU (873798-09-5) is a very efficient coupling reagent like HATU. The different counter ions appear to have little or no effect on the rate of activation or on the yield of the coupling reaction. HATU, HBTU, TATU, TBTU: the compound condensing agent of HOAt or HOBt is formed in the reaction system. Its characteristic is that the substrate is not easy to be racemized.TATU is highly effective for preparing carboxylic acid esters and primary alcohols, secondary alcohols or phenols.
