 Natural oxytocin is secreted by the posterior pituitary gland. By the hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus and supraoptic nucleus synthesis. It is transported to the neurohypophysis at a rate of 2 mm to 3 mm per day for release. The methionine residues at positions "1" and "6" form a 6-peptide ring structure in the form of disulfide bonds. Its physiological function: stimulate breast milk secretion, promote the contraction of uterine smooth muscle during childbirth, and promote maternal love. In addition, it can reduce the level of stress hormones such as adrenaline in the body to lower blood pressure. It is not a woman’s patent, it can be secreted by both men and women.

The secretion of oxytocin is mainly regulated by nerve reflex. When a woman gives birth, the cervix and vagina are compressed and traction, which can reflexly cause the secretion of oxytocin, which helps the delivery.
