Argipressin is a small peptide composed of nine amino acids synthesized by human hypothalamus. Its 8th amino acid is arginine, so it is also called AVP. Argipressin plays an important role in osmotic pressure regulation and cardiovascular function control. AVP has been widely studied and applied since it was successfully isolated and synthesized.
